Annual Distribution of Specialty Florida License Plate Fees through Florida Off-Road Foundation’s Grant Program

Each year we proudly work with members of the community, nonprofit organizations and event organizers to support their efforts to maintain a clean, safe, and sustainable off-road environment in Florida. A grant advisory council is annually selected from an elite group of industry experts will be accepting grant applications Grants funds generated from “Explore Off Road” Florida Specialty License Plate annual use fees shall be awarded to qualified Florida nonprofit organizations. Grants are administered by Florida Off Road Foundation , Florida, non-profit, Section 501(c)(3) exempt organization and can range from $250 to $50,000 annually up to a maximum of $250,000 awarded for multi year projects. All of which will be considered for grants for during the funding cycle.

Proceeds from the EXPLORE OFFROAD Specialty Florida License Plate sales makes it possible for us to support the many worthwhile partner organizations and community supporters who make these programs and events possible. When you purchase our specialty Florida tag, you’re making it possible for us to award grants to fund and support these important activities and initiatives.

Requests for Grants

Florida Off-Road’s Foundation accepts grant requests for consideration using the following criteria:

  • Requests must come from qualified Florida 501(c)(3) organizations.
  • Activities or programs must be associated with one or more of the foundation’s core mission objectives.
  • Requests must be submitted at least 90 days in advance of the project/activity.

Such projects or activities that meet Foundation criteria may include trail cleanups, natural habitat and eco-system support, conservation and preservation initiatives, enhancements and restoration of trails or surroundings, public education programs on off-road safety or ecology topics, natural heritage and history. If your request for a grant is approved, you will be contacted either by email or phone. Please make sure to completely fill out the form information to apply for a grant.
